The concert will host a festival village, which will allow concert goers to sample delicious food and drink. Another unique aspect of the concert is the planned 3-D projections, which will illuminate Trinity College and help count down the hours, minutes and seconds to 2013. Don’t miss the spectacular NYE Dublin Countdown Concert at College Green, (December 31st at 8.30 p.m. – 1 a.m.), one of the biggest outdoor music celebrations the city centre has ever seen – and the hottest New Year’s Eve ticket in town!
Join thousands of revellers from home and abroad in rocking in the New Year, and the start of The Gathering Ireland 2013, a year- long celebration of all things Irish. Dance the night away with four hours of electrifying music from internationally renowned Irish acts. One of Ireland’s most celebrated female vocalists Imelda May, and critically acclaimed Irish rock outfit Bell X1, are the headliners of a list of performers to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
High tech lighting and pyrotechnics will light up the streets throughout the concert, culminating in the lead-up to the magic midnight moment, when giant 3D visuals will illuminate historic Trinity College and count down the minutes and seconds to 2013. Adding to the atmosphere will be a buzzing “festival village” at Foster Place on Dame Street, with a full bar and selection of festival fare to sate all appetites.
