Dublin Genius

Named after Oscar Wilde’s famous quip to a US customs officer “I have nothing to declare but my genius” – this is a packed programme of cultural events, from poetry slams and literary readings to science exhibitions and comedy, kicking off at 2pm and running til late. Dublin Genius is an opportunity to experience the “cultural capital” of our capital.

Event Dublin Genius Parliament: One of Europe’s first purpose-built   exhibitions spaces, and the setting for Liberator Daniel O’Connell’s   gatherings of Dublin Corporation when he was Lord Mayor, the Georgian City   Assembly House’s incredible hexagonal council chamber will host the Dublin   Genius Parliament – a gathering of good citizens eager to hear and contribute   to the future of their city. An honorary chair keeps order while you, the   parliament, hear contributions, make points of order and vote on what motions   are good enough to be added to the Dublin Genius Parliament Manifesto.   Presided over by a very special Honorary Speaker.
